Season One Premieres in February!
Super-exciting news! We’ve set our release for Season One of the Super Knocked Up web series.
It will debut Feb. 2012! Just a couple short months away. So the wait is almost over :)
All episodes will be available at our new website www.superknockedup.com You’ll be able to watch them right on the home page. We’ll also post them on our Facebook page, Twitter, and everywhere else.

Speaking of the website, we have a swanky new official site up, which we think looks pretty freakin’ cool! You can watch videos, see tons of pictures and official stills from the episodes. As well as check out some cool artwork from the Super Knocked Up comic book and read up on the cast and crew.

Comic Book
The first issue of the comic book will be out in early 2012! Most of the pages are already penciled and inked. And we just hired a kick-ass Colorist and Letterer.

Hey folks! Sorry we haven’t posted anything in a while. Mark is hard at work at an awesome blog post for later this week. In the meantime, I’m going to post a question we got through our Facebook page and my answer, which I’m calling the Question of the Day! :) As well at an awesome page from the forthcoming Super Knocked Up comic book. Which is what the opening comment in the question below is referencing :) And I hope all of you out there had a wonderful holiday and have a super Happy New Year! Okay, here it is:
Oooh, that looks SO good!! I do have 2 questions though:
1) Will I, living in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, Europe, be able to watch the webseries (see, like on HBO and such I get the pop-up that I am not in a region able to watch).
2) Will the comic be brought out worldwide? And if not (so actually 3) ^_^) Will the comic be made available online? Am looking forward to it!! X

Hey Nikki! I will answer all your questions :)
1. You will absolutely be able to watch the web series in Amersterdam or anywhere else in the world. All you’ll have to do is go to our official site www.superknockedup.com which is where I’ll post the episodes. I’ll also embed there here on our Facebook page so you can watch them just be going to the Facebook page – www.facebook.com/superknockedup :)
2. The print comic will be mostly print on demand and at conventions but the comic will absolutely be offered in digital format online which anyone will be able to buy and download from anywhere :) So to sum up you’ll absolutely be able to watch the web series and read the comic.
And P.S. thanks so much for being so interested in it. You’re freakin’ awesome! As all our Super Knocked Up supporters are :) You guys rock!
Greetings, Super Knocked-uppers. Hope this week finds you well. If you like rain and you live in the northeastern portion of the US, well then September 2011 was probably the best month you’ve ever experienced in your life. Also: you suck. Rain is awful.
MOVING ON!
It is my pleasure this week to let you all know that you’re THIS MUCH closer to seeing the first episode of SKU. I can officially announce that we have COMPLETED SHOOTING THE FIRST SEASON! Filming officially ended sometime around 10:30 PM Sunday, September 4th. Mein Fuhrer – er, sorry, Jeff Burns is neck deep in SKU footage, doing his best Walter Murch impression and slaving away at the edit machine for hours at a time.
It seems like only yesterday that Jeff cornered me in a dark alley, threatening to break both of my kneecaps with a tire iron then sell my family into slavery at a Philipino (Philipinian?) brothel if I didn’t accept the role of Michael Masters. I could handle the thought of greasy American businessmen on vacation doing unspeakable things to my kin (who can’t?), but when it came to the kneecap thing I buckled. They’re my knees. You need them to walk. I need them to fly.
It also seems like yesterday that I fought tooth and nail against the casting of Natalie “No Eye Contact” Bain as my arch nemesis, Darkstar. Not only is she a diva the likes of which Jennifer Lopez would kow-tow to, but she delivers lines like she went to the Robert Pattinson School of Boring Delivery.
Of course, I kid. Although it’s been quite a long and eventful year, the individuals involved in the making of Super Knocked Up have been fantastic to work with. I will NOT remember the name of everyone involved (not because they’re not memorable, but because my memory SUCKS), but here are a few I know of who I want to shout out a big THANKS! to: Natalie Bain, Megan Miller, Eric Oakes, Brian Szepatowski, Juan Lopez, Lauren Kraus, Chriss Vincelette, Justin Maine, Yvonne Perry, David Bunce, Nick Lyman, Daniela Malave, Ron Pucherelli, Jenna Dott, Justine Mackey, Jay Ruzicka, Catherine Mancuso, Mike Feurstein, Roman Jaquez, John Holser, Mike Camoin, Carly Allington, Gaby Allen, Jeff Stewart, Jon Cring, Bria Schultz, Martin Pohl, Michalina Almindo, Mike Scorzelli, Rick Rodgers, Russell Van Brocklen and all the amazing extras that came out and did a kick-ass job!

Here at Super Blogged Up, we’d like to think that we have a pretty good thing going with our upcoming web series Super Knocked Up, about a female super-villain who finds herself with child after a night of passion with a superhero. We’re getting even closer to the release of Episode One (you’ve all been waiting so patiently, and we thank you for that!), and we hope you’ll think we have a pretty good thing going as well. We like to think we offer something a bit different than what people have seen before. In case you haven’t been convinced of that yet, I’m going to list a few things that I think separates Super Knocked Up from other web series and super-hero stories (and writer/director Jeff Burns will pop in occasionally during this blog for his Director’s Notes and to let people know when Mark is being stupid).
If you follow Super Knocked Up’s Facebook or Twitter pages (and if you don’t, please remedy that), then you know that writer/director Jeff Burns and I (actor extraordinaire Mark Pezzula) attended the annual comic/pop culture convention held in Boston, Massachusetts on April 30 and May 1. This has been, so far, the largest con that Super Knocked Up has attended with, what I think, has been the greatest response.
Since we’re fresh off Albany Comic Con and have Boston Comic Con this weekend, I thought it’d be the perfect time to write about why comic book conventions are so freakin’ cool. I’ve actually only been to three so far, so I’m still a newbie at the whole thing. But I’ve been to enough to be sold that comic cons are awesome events to attend.

Making a superhero web series on virtually no budget is definitely a challenge. And one of those challenges came up on our most recent shoot – Episode 5 of Super Knocked Up.
In the scene, super-villain Jessica James (aka Darkstar) discovers Michael Masters (aka Captain Amazing) flirting with a hot reporter in his apartment. And I don’t want to give anything away, but let’s just say she’s not too pleased. There are two points in the scene where Michael uses his super-speed to zip over to Jessica. So, how do we make it look like Captain Amazing has Superman or Flash-like speed without doing crazy special effects?
A couple of weeks ago we shot two different episodes for Super Knocked Up. And if you’re just joining our super-cool blog, Super Knocked Up is our upcoming web series and graphic novel about a female super-villain who gets knocked up by a superhero :) Pretty sweet, right? Anyway, like any shoot, no matter how much you plan, shit always happens threatening to derail the production. And we had plenty of challenges to deal with on this particular weekend.
